Landon's First Day of School

First day of School, First day of School, FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!
My little boy grew up and now is off to school. He was So excited and asked all morning, Is it time yet? How much longer? Mom, did you forget to take me? Am I going to be late? Mom, When do I go!!?? when the time Finally came to go to school he was SO happy!!!
We get to the school and I tell him.... Okay bud, lets get some pictures of you on your Very First Day Of School! He was good and let me take a few pictures. Once he saw ALL the people and was sure they were looking Only at him, he wanted to be done.

As we get ready to go in, he tells me. "I'm Not sure I'm going to like this Mom" Oh bud you'll be just fine, now Smile :)

Once inside I'm trying to get just one more picture but he tells me " Mom! That's enough pictures! Everyone is looking at me, Please STOP!!"

I started to put my camera away as his teacher gets the class all lined up. When she was all done calling the names for her class, she asked if they were ready to go and told them to fallow her. Landon took a few steps, turned around to me and came running back. He got to me and said, "OH Mom, I almost forgot to give you a good buy kiss!" Gives me a big Hug and a Kiss, tells me he Loves me and that he'll see me in just a few hours! Talk about melt my heart! I was doing SO good with this school thing, not even one tear! And then this... he's to embarrassed to take a few pictures because everyone is looking at him BUT not to embarrassed to let everyone see him Hug and Kiss his mama!!! Aww, tough on the outside... but a what softy on the inside :)

When Landon got home from school, he said it was a little boring... I asked if he didn't want to go back, he was quick to say "OH NO, I want to go back!" So you had a good day then? Oh yeah!! I did :)

School Sun Flower

Landon starts kindergarten this year!!! It's seems crazy to me to have him in school already. He's somewhat excited to to start school. He's worried I'll forget all about him, not leave him at school and forget to pick him up, worried that I wont have him here so I'll forget I have a son... I reassured him that THAT was Not Possible! The school did a kindergarten round up in June to get them all excited to start school. They gave them a little sunflower seed to take home and plant, then told them when the sunflower gets bigger than them and mom and dad it was time for school to start! He had so much fun watching the sunflower grow and got more and more excited to go to school! Me on the other hand..... No, I know he's so ready to go, and I'm excited for him to have an adventure like his daddy :) I am nervous about how he'll do leaving me, It's only 1/2 day school though so I'm sure he will LOVE it!
These are the pictures of his Sunflower the day before school started.

Landon's 5th Birthday Party

Landon turned the BIG 5 this year!!
He asked if he could have a Big Kid Birthday Party, Not one that babies come to... I thought that should be easy enough, he has lots of friends in our ward that we invited, and the only "babies" there were Lashae and her lil friend... Beckam. He also told me he wanted a Pirate Party with LOTS of Pirate Games and of course a Pirate Cake ~that, thanks to my friend Daya, looked Amazing!!~ We even made Pirate Map Invitations and took them to his friends.
While making plans and telling me just how he wanted his party and what games we should play, he started to get really excited! Then said, Mom, wouldn't it be SO cool if Uncle Lyden could come to my party!? I told him that would be really cool....but that uncle Lyden lives really far away now and that probably can't happen. He was sad but understood. Later on that night I got on the phone and told Lyden what Lando said. Lyden asked what day we were doing the party and told me that both him and Chelse would be there!!! I was SO excited for my lil guy!!! I didn't tell him that his uncle was going to be here for his party, so when he showed up the day before.... he was So surprised!
The Pirate Party Activities were.... Pin the Pirates on the Ship Chelse was my artiest on that one :), Pirate Find-It's ~another Awesome idea by Chelse... rice in jars with a rope, ship, gold coin, sea creatures, a pirate jewel and a penny, Wonderful Idea!~ Pirate Treasure Hunt...and last but not least the Treasure Chest Pinata!
Landon was SO happy his Uncle and Chelse were able to come and spend his special day with him...BUT the Birthday surprises weren't over!! He also got to go back to Idaho with Lyden and Chelse to spend a week with his grandparents!!
Needless to say... Lando had an Awesome Birthday Party and Birthday Week!!
We LOVE that lil man So much and are so Blessed to have him in our Family!!

Little Artist

Oh my Gosh!! This little girl of ours is one determined little stinker Artist!! I don't even know how many times I have had to wash coloring of some sort off of her, the carpet, the walls or other areas of this apartment. I thought I was doing really well by making sure the markers or crayons were up high and out of reach. Oh NO!!! You see, I also have a little boy who loves to color but knows to use paper and not walls. Needless to say, when ever he'd get them down, Shae was quickly at his side to grab what she could and find the perfect place to make better by her art work!
I guess one good thing is, once she was done she'd come and tell me... at first it started out as "Oh wow mommy, see pretty" and after a few scrubbings and time outs it turned into "Uh Oh mommy, I naughty" But always a report told with an excited grin on her face to show off her beautiful work.
OH yes! she even colors on the side of our apartment with nothing other than Sidewalk Chalk!! :)
What an ambitious little artist we have :D

Lady Bug Hike

We had so much fun this summer, always trying to find something fun to do. Our ward has a playgroup with all sorts of fun activities. This one was right up Landon's alley. There are lots of parks around here and every month they do a Lady Bug Hike at a different park. You get to use a backpack that has all the tools you will need to help find cool things along the way.

Landon getting his face painted... ready for the fun to begin!

While on the walk... Hike, they would stop and show the kids places where bugs have made a home.

And of course encouraged them to dig and find some as well.

Landon had lots of fun. Lashae enjoyed the walk and seeing all the fun things but isn't one to get her hands dirty.... That's the difference between boys and girls for ya :)
They both had fun! Just in their own ways :D

Family Pictures part 1

First off, I just have to say how much I LOVE our family pictures! We had them done in July. I really wanted something fun and with the city in the background, more for a memory to look back on to remember this wonderful, exciting adventure.
