Lashae's Blessing

Our little Lashae was blessed February 1st. My Mom “custom made” Lashae’s dress and it turned out perfect! Her Blessing day was so nice; we had lots of family and friends to spend the special day with. Stan gave such an amazing blessing, which of course made me cry, and then just as I got myself under control from that he goes up and shares his testimony. And then came more tears. I couldn’t sit there any longer, it was as if someone gave me a push to go share mine as well…. We had been through the craziest journey trying to get our beautiful little girl here, at times it seemed impossible and I felt like giving up. But there was always that feeling to just keep going, have faith, BE STONG. It wasn’t easy. And I couldn’t have done it alone. I am so lucky to have Stan for the priesthood he holds and the strength he gives me. For the many nights he would just hold me when I needed to cry, I know it wasn’t easy for him either. I am very grateful for our Family and Friends who were always there for us. I am grateful for the power of prayer, and for the comfort it gives, to know that you’re not alone. I am truly grateful for my two sweet children; the joy they bring to our lives is more than I could have ever asked for. They are my everything. Without them I would be lost. There is nothing greater than being a mother, and I am so blessed to be one. I love the saying “Find Joy In The Journey”. Our Journey’s not over but the Joy is not hard to find.

Is It A Boy Thing? Or A 3 Year Old Thing?

So Landon loves to help clean, when ever I clean the house he needs to help.......

However, He also likes to make messes!!
Landon was working on his Valentine Cards
After a little while he comes and stands right in front of me and says...
"Mom, I made a big mess"
I turned around to look at where he was working, clean, no mess.
Then I asked, Where?
All he did was lift up his shirt and smile!
The funny part is that when I was getting him in the tub
I found that he had colored all over his "MISTER" as well!

Later on that day we were having Brad, Sage and Morgyn over for Brownies.
I gave Landon the Beaters and Bowl so he could lick off the Yummy stuff.
Well he only ate a little of it then decided to put it all over himself.
Comes to me and says, "Mom look what I did" :)
Oh My Heaven's that was twice in one day!!!
At least this time it was just on his face and arms and not on his Mister

I couldn't believe he did something like that twice in one day,
He is usually so clean. He obviously thought it was funny,
So is this a boy thing or a 3 year old thing??? :)

Funny Story

On Tuesday we watched the Inauguration of Barack Obama. It is a huge change for our country and a very historical event, and I didn’t want to miss it. (I will admit I’m not for Obama 100% but our country needed a leader and he was chosen, so I will support him.) I also wanted Landon to watch and somewhat understand what was going on. It was cool to watch and listen to the things that were being said. Not just by Obama but by the reporters as well. As Obama was coming out there were people chanting BARACK OBAMA! BARACK OBAMA! Landon asked “Mom who is that?” I told him it was Barack Obama, our new President of the United States. For a 3 year old I wasn’t sure what he would take from it. He didn’t say much the rest of the time just a few questions here and there. Throughout the day, any time we turned on the T.V. there was something about Obama, He was everywhere! Later that day we went to the store, as we were standing in the check out line, Landon saw a picture of Obama on a magazine and said, “Mom, Look Barack Obama!” then begins chanting BARACK OBAMA! BARACK OBAMA! BARACK OBAMA! BARACK OBAMA! And not quiet either. I asked him to be quiet then he said "But he’s our President!" He was right, and I did want him to know what was going on. I asked him to please say it quieter. Then after we got home, we turned on the T.V. and again more stuff about Obama. Landon said to me, “Mom, I am so sick of all this Barack Obama stuff, will you please just shut it off?” At least he knows who our new President is, and that, "He lives in a BIG-white-house somewhere." I can't help but laugh.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas day with my parents. That morning we opened gifts in 2 rounds. The first go round Landon opened the Santa gifts and just HAD to play with his new stuff. So we let him play while my parents got breakfast ready. Then round 2, Landon open his gifts, and everyone else’s. It was a nice day, Everyone got just what they wanted. Landon got his Train sets and Lion Sword, Stan and I got to see the joy in our son’s eyes as he opened and played with his gifts. And we were able to hold our sweet baby girl, who came a week before Christmas. We also received other things but these are what we will always remember. Who could ask for more?
